A brief summary of why we became a healthy workplace

We have been keen to promote a healthy workplace for a number of years and Cornwall Health Promotion Service has inspired us and provided a framework for moving forward

 

              

 

Recent health and well being activities

  • Training programme for managers to increase awareness of mental health symptoms

  • Alcohol awareness campaign

  • Smoking cessation campain

  • Sunscreen advice

  • Promotion of local fitness centres

  • Supporting local charities through active involvement (e.g. decorating a local outreach centre)

 

Plans/aims for the next year

Weight and fitness campaigns, focussing on diet, exercise, lifestyle, and generally choosing well.

We hope to establish health and wellbeing champions across the site to lead a variety of fitness activities.

Achieving the Silver Healthy Workplace Award in our first year has raised the profile of health and wellbeing across the business
