Award goes hand in hand with our internal health initiative, supporting all areas of health and well being in the workplace.

Recent Health and Well Being activities on offer (this year):

Pilates, laughter yoga, flu jabs, health checks, Race for Life, swimathon, Quorn cooking    demonstrations, subsidised healthy canteen, table tennis installed onsite, Stoptober, family funday, CO2 awareness and carbon monoxide monitor giveaway, Movember, massage chair, Take a Hike pedometer challenge, Free fruit day every week, “First Assist” and “Best Doctor” available to all employees, free online weight watchers, family cycle ride.

I think that the Health ahead Scheme is working very well within the office, it encourages employees to look after themselves on a day to day basis.

MIND

Mind, a Mental Health Charity, released a report in May 2011 claiming that UK businesses could save £8 billion per year if they managed workplace stress properly. 

The survey also found that 41% of workers experience stress, making it more of a concern than personal finances, health and relationships.

Professor Dame Carol Black is Expert Adviser on Health and Work to NHS England and Public Health England presented the awards. She said at the 2017 Workplace Health Conference and Awards“It always gives me great pleasure to return to Cornwall to present the Workplace Health Awards, which go from strength to strength each year. These awards show the commitment of organisations, public and private, large and small, to employees' health and wellbeing. They also acknowledge the relationship between health and wellbeing, engagement and productivity"
