What we do:
Teaching and learning through our core school values.
Confidence, Aspiration, Resilience, Enjoyment.
Why we became a healthy workplace:
We became a healthy workplace for a number of reasons: Increased workloads, huge amount of staffing changes and uncertainty for the future. High levels of mental health issues within staffing families. Nikki was very poorly for a number of months which had a knock on affect on the rest of the team and staff morale. Nikki was able to build on her fitness and strength through a number of channels to be fit again. She wanted to share what she had learned and help others.
Recent health and well being activities:
Football golf, Pink Wig, Pretty muddy,
Pedometer challenge
Water/hydration challenge.
Shout out board, health and wellbeing board.
Cream of the crop. Box of fun!
Veg boxes from Kelly's farm shop.

Success Story:
A member of staff has made some significant changes to her health and well being. She has purchased a water bottle and ensures she drinks 2 bottles at least a day- better than the 2 cups of coffee she had before!
She is also making a concerted effort to walk more, wearing the pedometers highlighted how little movement she was doing. She is trying to move more each day- even purchasing a puppy to help with her incentives!
Some staff members are trying to practice pebble meditation on a daily basis and have recognised the huge benefits.

As a whole staff we are committed to the health and well being of our staff and this award has ensured that is kept high profile in our school.
