Jarrang & Mail Away

Jarrang is a professional company that works hard to fulfil our client needs.  Specialising in email marketing we provide an excellent service to our clients to assist promotion of their business.  We have strong working ethos with regards to our corporate and social responsiblity.

Jarrang understands the necessity for a healthy workplace.  This strategy lays out the pathway to help recognise the benefits of a healthy workplace and inspire team members to take action.  Jarrang recognises that people who feel valued and involved in decison making play a big part in a high performing workplace.  Communicating and consulting with the workforce, allowing them the right knowledge and skills is not only a legal duty but also shows that we take their health, safety and wellbeing into consideration.

Recent Health & Wellbeing activities on offer (this year):

  • Paddle boarding
  • Beach games
  • Quarterly team days

Plans / Aims for next year:

We will intorduce a new topic on health and wellbeing each month to help make employees aware of different aspects of health and information that is available to them i.e. alcohol, back pain, stress etc.

Moving into summer time we will be introducing our Sun Care Policy, providing sun cream for employees and information on skin care for those who may be going out of the office.  After the success of quarterly company days, we will be continuing these into the next year.  The days include a half day conference that involves staff with company aims and objectives as well as team building activities.

Being an active participant in the healthy workplace scheme is a great asset to our core ethos - being the best we can be, It's great to recognise the importance of a healthy workforce both at work but also hopefully installing this attitude to staff as a whole

Being part of the healthy workplace scheme has been a real benefit for me. Listening to how my colleagues are working towards a healthy lifestyle has inspired me to kick start a fitness regime myself. I am already feeling the benefits of this especially during my working day. I have a better understanding for healthy meals and snacks thanks to the informational posters I have access to in the ktchen.

Dame Carol Black,

"It is fantastic to see Cornwall and Isles of Scilly championing the health and work agenda and I look forward to seeing the Workplace Award act as a catalyst for further change in the county. Good health is good business and I encourage all employers that are serious about the agenda to apply for this confirmation of best practice." Dame Carol Black, National Director for Health and Work.
