Company ethos/mission statement:

We aspire to form strategic partnerships with all our clients. This is achieved through understanding their requirements and delivering personal solutions. We use our innovative approach of providing dedicated off-site resource to deliver our services. Our knowledgeable staff all have the proven experience to ensure that any project is delivered to a high professional standard - that is right first time, to budget and timescales.

A brief summary of why you have become a healthy workplace:

TRAC are committed to protecting the health, safety and welfare of our employees.  We want to ensure that we are doing all we can as an employer to provide a safe place to work but also support and encouragement for people to maximise their own   physical and mental well-being.  This is important for any business as you are only ever as strong as your people.

Recent Health and Wellbeing activities on offer (this year):

  • Trialled and implemented a flexible working scheme allowing people to choose their start and end times creating more freedom for them to plan the home life, including exercise, around the work commitments

  • Reviewed the membership of the healthy workplace team and decided to refresh team with new volunteers.  People now serve 9 months as a member of the team, with one person staying on for a longer period to achieve  consistency.

  • Ran an internal event on National Stress Awareness Day using resources from the Health Promotion Library

Plans/Aims for 2014:

  • To continue our monthly health awareness campaigns on the staff notice board

  • Provide health check-up for all staff

  • Have some team social events which involve physical activity 

  • Continue to promote opportunities to engage in physical activity

  • Continue walking tea breaks and healthy lunches.

 

 

We have been taking part in the Healthy Workplace programme since 2011. It provides structure and external support to what we are already doing and provides great opportunities to learn from and share best practice with other local companies.
