New Cycling for Health Project!

The Health Promotion Service is working with the charity Sustrans to deliver a joint health and wellbeing strategy through a new programme of health rides around Cornwall.  The project will build on the successes of Mobilise! and Pedal Back the Years.  Becky Payne, Project Officer, will be recruiting and training new volunteers to lead rides to encourage people to get active.  Being part of a group ride encourages people to exercise, socialise, explore and build confidence to travel actively.  Cycling is great for physical and mental health, helping the environment, saving money and meeting new people so get on your bike and get involved!

For more information about rides or to have a chat about becoming a volunteer contact Becky Payne rebecca.payne@sustrans.org.uk 07557 755599

TRAC Services Ltd

"The healthy workplace toolkit has been an invaluable resource for TRAC. It is helped us review where we are as a company in terms of providing a healthy workplace and clearly identify new measures we can put in place. It is a very robust and easy to use resource that has united the team here in a common goal of improving the health and wellbeing of everyone. The website that support the initiative is easy to use and as lots of very helpful information and case studies. It is really easy to track your progress using the website. We have also benefited greatly from the support and enthusiasm of Rachel and the team in helping us on our journey and were delighted to be awarded silver following our recent assessment." - TRAC Services Ltd
