IoD Mental Health Hub Launched

Date: 7 Mar 2017

The IoD (Institute of Directors) has created a 'Mental Health Hub' that aims to help businesses promote good mental health within the workplace. The hub also provides information and advice for managers and workplace leaders that will help spot the signs of mental health problems and know how to help.

The hub is full of helpful advice, best practice and useful resources. It has many examples of experiences from business leaders as to how they look after their own mental health and that of their employees.

Cancer and Work
Cancer kills around 1.2 million people each year in the European Union. Between
65 000 and 100 000 of these deaths are believed to be directly caused by working conditions. Others are the result of environmental exposures which, in many cases, are themselves related to firms’ business activities.
