National Stress Awareness Day 6th November 2013

National Stress Awareness Day, on 6th November 2013, raises awareness about stress, how to prevent it and how to manage it once it occurs.  The emphasis is on promoting psychological wellbeing of people at work so that they can perform at their peak.

Occupational Health

Where occupational health was provided, 39% of companies recorded a decline in short-term absence, whilst 28% experienced a reduction in long-term absence [CIPD 2008].

Sickness Absence

Stress related conditions and musculoskeletal disorders are now the most common reported causes of sickness absence from work in the UK.
