Outreach Health Check Practitioner

The post holder will work as part of the Healthy Workplace Team delivering NHS Health Checks along with key healthy lifestyle advice such as smoking cessation, physical activity and healthy weight to a range of target audiences in local businesses, community settings and events .

We are looking for someone who is passionate about health promotion and healthy lifestyles and can organise their own workload to achieve national and local targets.   Candidates should be proactive and keen to develop their knowledge and skills and  confident to deliver a health check to individuals in a range of non-traditional environments e.g. farmers markets, fishing ports and outdoor events.

You should have excellent knowledge and understanding of health improvement and have the ability to motivate, inspire and influence individuals.  

The postholder will have a relevant professional qualification such as related degree in public health or significant (at least one year) health promotion experience in relevant areas.
